The Pai Gow casino game is not very complicated. Once you've developed a feel for the game, you are sure to find it fun to play--and, in some cases, quite profitable. The game begins with a wager, followed by the dealing of the cards. Each person is dealt a total of seven cards. To determine the player who gets the first set of cards, dice are rolled or a random number is generated. Once the cards are dealt, each player arranges his or her cards into two hands. One hand holds five cards and the other hand holds two cards.

As with other poker games, the five-card hand in Pai Gow poker is ranked. Most casinos consider ace-2-3-4-5 the second-highest straight in Pai Gow poker. However, this is not the case with all casinos. For the two-card hand, the highest possible hand consists of a Pair of aces, while the lowest is a 2-3.

Once each player has arranged his or her cards, the banker does the same according to very specific rules. The player's five-card hand is compared to that of the banker. The two-card hand is compared in the same way. The person with the highest ranked hand is the winner.

Sometimes there is a match between hands. This situation is called a copy. When this occurs, the hand is the banker's. When the player beats the banker, the player is paid even money, minus a commission of five percent. To learn more about how to play video Pai Gow poker, join iVegas today!
