Question:
What is your policy on collusion?
[Table
of Contents] [Back]
Answer:
In order to provide you the
player with a fair and honest
game of poker, iVegas.com's
Poker Room has gone to great
lengths and expense to prevent
and detect collusion or cheating.
All our games are being monitored
in real-time by
experienced poker managers,
who are only a click away.
Additionally,
software tools have been developed
to identify the following:
- Frequency
of two players playing in
the same game
- Unusually
high win rates
- Suspicious
playing patterns
We
take any form of collusion or
cheating seriously, and will
institute a lifetime ban on
those who do so from our site.
Where situations warrant, a
player's bankroll may be frozen
while management reviews the
situation
and considers a redistribution
of a tournament's prize pool
(Tournament
Rule #23) or side game pot(s).
If
you observe any suspicious behavior
in your game, please advise
us immediately through our live
customer support with a brief
description of the circumstances.
We can then monitor the situation
more closely and take appropriate
action. You may also email us
at Support@iPoker.net
with a description of the situation,
including game #'s whenever
possible. You will remain anonymous,
and we will investigate the
suspicious play.

Question:
What are your policies regarding
collusion or other forms of
cheating?
[Table
of Contents] [Back]
Answer:
Collusion with another player
or any other form of cheating
is not acceptable conduct in
our poker tournaments or side
games. The following actions
are improper, and grounds for
warning, disqualification, or
account suspension or closure:
a)
Collusion with another player
b) Chip dumping
c) Agreeing (in chat) to check
a hand out when a third player
is all-in
d) Revealing the contents of
a live hand in a multi-handed
pot before the betting is complete
e) Making statements or taking
action that could unfairly influence
the course of play, whether
or not the offender is involved
in the pot.
In
the above cases, management
may stop play to rule on a given
situation, but in all likelihood
will decide to review the play,
cards, chat, and any other pertinent
information after the completion
of the tournament or game. In
such cases, disqualification
of the offending player(s) may
be possible, as well as a redistribution
of the tournament prize pool
or side game pot. All affected
players will be made aware of
management's decision by email.

Question:
What is a poker tournament?
[Table
of Contents] [Back]
Answer:
A poker tournament is an event
in which poker players compete
for all or part of a prize pool.
Each player, through registration,
pays an initial buy-in for a
set number of tournament chips.
These chips are nonnegotiable,
having no cash value. The games
stakes will usually increase
with time to hasten the tournaments
end. The tournament contestants
play poker until all but one
or a few are eliminated. The
top finishers will be awarded
cash and / or prizes according
to the prize pool payout structure.
A Heads Up tournament is a 1
on 1 tournament (i.e. only 2
players are playing in the tournament).

Question:
What are Tournament Points?
[Table
of Contents] [Back]
Answer:
Tournament Points are our way
of rewarding you for your continued
support of iVegas.com's Poker
Room. You can see your Tournament
Point total anytime on the cashier
screen. Tournament Points are
frequently referred to as TPs
for short.
How
can you spend your Tournament
Points?
- REDEEMABLE
FOR SPECIAL TOURNAMENT BUY-INS
AND REBUYS - Tournament Points
can be used for buy-ins and
rebuys in select tournaments.
The tournament points used
to enter or rebuy in a tournament
will be converted to the cash
equivalent buy-in or rebuy
for prize pool calculations.
If a tournaments buy-in
and rebuys are only in tournament
points, the prize pool will
be determined in advance,
and will not depend on the
number of entries or rebuys.
How
can you earn Tournament Points?
- Tournament
Points are optionally awarded
to the top finishers in a
tournament.
- We
pay each player 1 tournament
point for every real money
side game played, with a minimum
of a $0.75 rake.
How
can I determine whether a tournament
prize includes the awarding
of Tournament Points?
To
see if the tournament prize
includes awarding of Tournament
Points and to which top finishers,
select the tournament in the
lobby list, click "TNT
Info", and then click
the "Prize Money"
tab.
When
it comes to paying out the
prize pool, all Tournament
Points are converted to the
cash equivalent of the buy-in
or rebuy. For example:
ABC Tournament, Buy-In
is $10 or 8 tournament points
50 buy-ins for $10 = $500
20 buy-ins for 8 tournament
points
With 100% payout (no administration
fee), prize pool is (50 +
20) x $10 = $700

Question:
What happens if I experience
a disconnect or Internet delays?
[Table
of Contents] [Back]
Answer:
All-In Feature & Disconnects
In the event that you get disconnected
during a game for any reason,
the software will protect your
investment in a pot by considering
you All-In up to X times per
day (X is the daily limit posted
on our web site). After you
have used your daily limit,
and fail to respond within Y
seconds (Y is the number of
seconds a player has to act
and will be posted on a per
game basis), your hand will
be folded. THE CARDROOM ASSUMES
NO LIABILITY IF YOU ARE DISCONNECTED,
FOR ANY REASON, FROM THE GAME
DURING A HAND. This feature
is there to protect player's
bets in the case of a modem
hang-up, Internet delay, disconnect
or a lockup, and is not to be
used intentionally to gain an
advantage. If you have no investment
at the time of a disconnect,
your cards will be folded. You
may request to have your All-In(s)
reset (not available in tournament
play) by clicking on the chip
tray of any real money table
and paging the Pit Boss to request
an 'All-Ins Reset'.
Please
note that for tournaments, the
All-In feature is used on a
per tournament basis. Refer
to the web site under Tournament
Rules.
Time
Out Feature
You are required to act on your
hand within Y seconds (Y is
the number of seconds a player
has to act and will be posted
on a per game basis). If you
fail to act within Y seconds,
and you have no money in the
pot, your hand will be folded.
If you have money in the pot
and you fail to act within Y
seconds, for any reason even
if it is beyond your control,
your hand will be protected
as per the All-In feature, provided
you have not exceeded your daily
All- In limit or tournament
All-In limit. If you have exceeded
your All-In limit and you have
timed-out, your hand will be
folded.

Question:
What is the minimum buy-in for
a Hold'em side game?
[Table
of Contents] [Back]
Answer:
The minimum buy-in at all limits
is ten times the value of the
small blind. For example, in
a $1/$2 game where the small
blind is $0.50 (i.e. half of
the lower value of $1), the
minimum buy-in is $5. When a
player runs out of chips at
the table, and wishes to continue
play at that same table, the
subsequent minimum buy-in is
for five times the value of
the small blind.

Question:
Can I play at more than one table?
[Table
of Contents] [Back]
Answer:
Players may view up to 4 tables
at any given time. However,
players may only actively participate
in a maximum of 2 simultaneous
games.
If you choose to play 2 tables
at once, you agree it is done
solely at your risk. iVegas.com
advises that only advanced,
alert players with large monitors
that can offset the table screens
consider playing at 2 tables.

Question:
Can I play at more than one
poker site at a time?
[Table
of Contents] [Back]

than one site at a time then
if the other site uses a browser
make sure you open a completely
separate instance of the browser
or better yet use a different
browser completely. We cannot
be responsible for problems
that may arise in this situation
and suggest that if problems
do arise that you stop playing
more than one site at a time.

Question:
I see a small green ( ),
yellow ( )
or red ( )
indicator in the lower right
corner of a window (usually
a lobby or table window). What
does this indicator mean?
[Table
of Contents] [Back]
Answer:
The Connection Status indicator
displayed in the lower right
corner of the window is green
( )
when the network connection
from your PC to our server is
okay. If the status indicator
is yellow ( )
then the connection is either
in the process of being disconnected
or in the process of automatically
reconnecting after being disconnected.
If the status indicator is red
( )
then the connection has been
disconnected. Since the client
always attempts to reconnect
after a disconnection the red
indicator is seen only briefly,
if at all. Disconnections are
usually due to a problem with
either your or our ISP (Internet
Service Provider) or a general
problem on the Internet.

Multi-Table
Tournaments
Other sites claim to offer
tournaments, but most are
restricted to only one table.
At iPoker.net you get true
multi-table tournament excitement
like in "brick &
mortar" poker rooms.
iPoker.net offers innovative
multi-table tournament features
not offered by most other
sites such as:
- Rebuys
- option to buy more chips
during tournament play
- Bounties
- special bounty prize pool
paid to player who wins
hand that eliminates bountied
player (i.e. player with
bounty on his/her head).
If the bountied player is
not eliminated they win
the bounty prize. The bountied
player can be selected in
various ways.
- Let's
Make A Deal - optional agreement
between last 2 or 3 remaining
players in tournament to
agree to end tournament
and split prize according
to an agreed formula of
their choosing. iPoker.net's
policy is to not instigate
or participate in the deal
making process, but to act
as the party to execute
the agreement, at no additional
cost.

Question:
How does the Poker Room make
money?
[Table
of Contents] [Back]
Answer:
When you play at iVegas.com's
Poker Room you are not playing
against the house or dealer,
you are playing against other
players who have registered
at iVegas.com and iPoker.net.
Tournaments
iThe Poker Room makes money
by charging a small administrative
fee included in the sign up
fee or buy-in to play in a real
money tournament. If a tournament
allows rebuys (i.e. the purchase
of more chips during play) then
a small administrative fee is
charged per rebuy. To see the
administrative fee for a particular
tournament, select the tournament
in the lobby list and click
the "TNT Info" button.
Note:
Freeroll tournaments are free
to all players - iPoker.net
does not make any money.
Side
Games
The poker Roomt makes money
by raking a small fee per game
which varies according to the
stakes, number of players and
pot size, subject to a maximum
rake per game which varies according
to the stakes and number of
players. For details on the
current rake structure click
here.

Question:
How do I set my time zone correctly
so that tournament times displayed
in the lobby will correspond
to my local time?
[Table
of Contents] [Back]
Answer:
Tournament times displayed in
the lobby should correspond
to your local time. For example,
if you live in California the
tournament time displayed will
be 3 hours earlier than the
tournament time displayed for
a player in New York. If this
is not the case, then you may
need to update your computers
time zone settings.
Just
follow these steps to update
your time zone settings:
1.
Double click on the time displayed
on your computer screen.
2. Click on the Date & Time
tab.
3. Adjust Date & Time to
your local time if incorrect.
4. Click on Time Zone tab.
5. Choose your time zone from
the provided drop down list.
6. Click OK.
7. Log on to the iPoker.net
site and the tournament times
will now be correct
Note: Players will need to restart
their computers on some 4.0
versions of Internet Explorer,
to see the new time changes
in the lobby.
